This song is about being put in one of those situations that sane people are increasingly put under where people attempt to politely force us into indicating our agreement with, or acceptance of, things we do not agree with.

And it is about widespread mental illness.

You want to go out with your wife, it’s been a long time
it's not been much of a life since that lock down crime
and all the days seem all the same - like one long day combined
You want to have some fun again, find some relaxing pastime

then pretty out of the blue something’s suggested to you
A thing you both did years ago so you've a bit of a clue
something you could do together and that you'd both like to do
could these hobby classes be just the thing for you two

and Now you know the world has changed and wokeness now’s all the rage
infecting every part of life so nothing out of its range
But you’re hopeful things have not yet got to too far a stage
hope you can still be true to you without provoking outrage

and as you enter you see people there who are not like you
and you don’t mind what they look like or if their hair is blue
But soon you learn that you’re in their den, and they’ll demand that you
affirm insane delusions that you know are not true

And they’ll bring it to you
try and force it on you
So you’ll provide polite agreement

You don’t want a confrontation, you didn’t ask for this
now there’s that pressure to conform, but that duty to resist
they feel to think a different way is just not ok
So do you say the words that make you sick to say?
